Savvy Rest organic Pastoral Wool mattresses are made with 4.5-inches of natural wool and are available in custom sizes per request.The Pastoral is filled with organic wool batting inside a tufted organic cotton cover. It does not contain latex. The wool fiber is resilient, supportive, and promotes a cooler, drier sleep environment. The Pastoral is flexible enough to serve as a futon if needed yet supportive enough to work as a standard low profile mattress. Each is handmade and tufted with natural linen thread. This is our least expensive innerspring-free certified organic mattress we offer. Certifications
Savvy Rest has achieved GREENGUARD GOLD Certification for our organic mattresses, pillows, and mattress toppers. GREENGUARD-Certified products must meet stringent standards for low chemical emissions into indoor air. GOLD-level certification includes additional requirements for vulnerable populations, such as children and the elderly.
The Pastoral has achieved the Cradle-to-Cradle Gold certification, which evaluates products according to health impact, materials re-use, renewable energy, water stewardship, and social fairness. Our natural Wool has achieved Cradle-to-Cradle Gold certification which means that the product is so pure it could be up-cycled again into its raw materials and re-used with no adverse health affects to the consumer.
The
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification
system for raw, intermediate and end textile products. Savvy Rest meets

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) sets legal standards for the term “organic” through the National Organic Program (NOP). Our Dunlop latex supplier's rubber tree farms are certified organic to U.S. standards. Their latex foam processing is certified by the International Control Union to the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS).
