Savvy Rest's organic Earthspring™ is an affordable innerspring with a difference. The recycled-steel spring is topped with a 3" layer of soft Dunlop natural latex. Above and below the innerspring are .8 cm sheets of coir (coconut fiber blended with natural latex). The mattress is encased in the Savvy Rest Organic quilted casing, made of certified organic cotton fabric with certified organic wool batting. The casing does not open; so it is not possible to change the firmness or type of latex foam. As built, the Earthspring has a comforting surface. The top is cushioned and the innerspring provides resilient support. It can overall be described as a "Medium Firm" feel. It is designed to be used in a set or placed on a platform frame. This is our least expensive certified organic mattress we offer. Certifications
Savvy Rest has achieved GREENGUARD GOLD Certification for our organic mattresses, pillows, and mattress toppers. GREENGUARD-Certified products must meet stringent standards for low chemical emissions into indoor air. GOLD-level certification includes additional requirements for vulnerable populations, such as children and the elderly.
The Earthspring has achieved the Cradle-to-Cradle Gold certification, which evaluates products according to health impact, materials re-use, renewable energy, water stewardship, and social fairness. Our natural Wool has achieved Cradle-to-Cradle GOLD certification which means that the product is so pure it could be up-cycled again into its raw materials and re-used with no adverse health affects to the consumer.
The
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification
system for raw, intermediate and end textile products. Savvy Rest meets

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) sets legal standards for the term “organic” through the National Organic Program (NOP). Our Dunlop latex supplier's rubber tree farms are certified organic to U.S. standards. Their latex foam processing is certified by the International Control Union to the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS).
